The Australian Women’s Helloworld Travel Volleyroos play tonight in Thailand (Thursday June 28 at 7pm AEST) and are excited to see just how much their recent experience on the world stage at the Volleyball Nations League Challenger Cup has helped their game grow.

Tonights game sees them face a very good Thai team “Khon Kaen Star VC" as part of the Thai Senior Club Championships and the Aussie women are itching to test themselves again.

“We are very excited to play. We’ve had a good couple of training sessions now and we know we can be bigger than the other team so we really want to capitalise on that tonight.” Said Volleyroos Jennifer Sadler.

Coach Shannon Winzer believes their recent international experience should serve them well in this match.

“We just finished up at the Volleyball Nations League Challenger Cup in Peru where we faced some really tough competition it was good preparation for us, we are used to playing against big teams and big hitters now and we think that should help us against the Thai club tonight.” Said Winzer.

“They’re a lot smaller than us, although they are well skilled, but we are going to outsize them and we really hope to use that to our advantage. We’ve talked about aggressive serving as part of a good overall game plan and if we can execute our plan I think we have a very good chance, so Im very excited.”

The Volleyroos are in Thailand to compete in the Thai Senior Club Championships where they will be taking on the top teams from all over Asia including a team from the Philippines tomorrow (Friday) at 9pm AEST.
