Volleyball Australia names its team for the inaugural World Beach Games


Australia will send a team comprising six men and six women to the inaugural International Beach Multi-Sport event in Doha organised by the Association of National Olympic Committees (ANOC).

The ANOC World Beach Games will feature 14 sports in 16 disciplines in five days of competition from 12 October.

Men’s and Women’s four-a-side beach volleyball is one of the sports. Volleyball Australia has named a team comprising players involved with the National Training Centre in Adelaide and players from state-based programs.

Queensland’s Craig Marshall and Western Australia’s Jayson Fox have been named as the Australian coaches.
