The Queensland Pirates men’s team continued their strong start to the 2019 Australian Volleyball Super League with two victories over the Adelaide Storm in round two.
Queensland won the first match 3-0 before taking the second on Sunday, 3-1.
The Pirates and the Canberra Heat lead the men’s competition with four wins from four games after the Heat won both games against the Melbourne Vipers at the AIS.
Canberra won the opening game 3-2, before taking the second 3-0 on Sunday.
In the other matches in the men’s competition in round two, the UTSSU Shield accounted for Western Australia Steel, 3-0 in both games over the weekend.
In the women’s, the Melbourne Vipers and the UTSSU Shield lead after two rounds with three victories.
The Vipers defeated the Canberra Heat 3-0 and 3-1 over the weekend. The UTSSU Shield was too strong for the Western Australian Steel, winning 3-2 and 3-0.
The Queensland Pirates won the first game against the Adelaide Storm, 3-1, before Adelaide won the second 3-0.
In round three, Queensland is at home to Melbourne, Canberra takes on the UTSSU Shield at the AIS, while Adelaide hosts Western Australia.
