Helloworld Travel Volleyroos lose to Serbia


The Australian men’s volleyball team has gone to Serbia in four sets this morning at the World Championships in Italy.

Serbia won the first set before Australia levelled in the second. Serbia then won the next two to secure the victory in four.

The world number 11 ranked Serbia winning 25-20, 21-25, 25-17, 25-19.

Max Staples top scored for the Volleyroos with 12 points.

Australia is currently ranked 4th in Pool C and needs to win their remaining game against Tunisia tomorrow morning to make it through to the next round.

The United States leads Pool C from Serbia, Russia, Australia, Cameroon and Tunisia.
