6:52pm McHugh/Schumann win the last match of the day 2-0 (21-10, 21-12) over Melbourne's Gregory/Kuklych. Brings to end a very long day, first match tomorrow is at 730am - see you then.

6:09pm - The lights have come on at Manly Beach, as Durant/Schubert forced to work hard to beat Mann/Stubbersfield in three very entertaining sets, 17-21, 21-18, 15-8. In the women's draw, Bell/Laird have posted a second win, beating Friedrich/Moegle 21-11, 21-16, and Palmer/Ngauamo b Marchesini/Giovannetti 21-3, 21-9 to finish the day undefeated.

4:56pm - The match of the day so far! Australia's Kapa/McHugh take almost 90 minutes to beat USA's McKienzie/Statterfield 2-1 (26-24, 23-25, 15-13). Elsewhere, Bolsterlee/Crook have brought up their second win of the day, beating Riginelli/Gruenaug 21-14, 21-17, Ferguson/Wakefield have beaten Christianson/Gaik 21-18, 21-13, Skrabel/Friedl triumphed over Stock/Lawes 21-9, 21-13, and Poland/Zemljak b Tang/J.Schumann 21-17, 21-14.

In the women's draw, Maher/Kendall made it two from two, beating Levy/Azarian-Ekaba Okoko 21-8, 21-17, Battaglene/Weiler brought up their second win with a 21-15, 21-14 result over Smith/Coleman, and Richter/Penkina also have two wins after beating Zivcic/Reichmuth 21-15, 21-17. 

3:01pm - Two wins from two outings for the new pairing of Louise Bawden and Mariafe Artacho del Solar. They beat Sabine Link and Rebecca Ingram 21-12, 21-7. Elsewhere, the Rohkampers have beaten Tung/Schober 21-5, 21-7. In the men's, Blake and Reeves beat Abela/Holmes 21-17, 21-15.

2:02pm - A straight sets win for Jordan and Justine Mowen, 21-16, 21-10 over Sange Carter and Sabine Mills. to give them two wins from two matches. Also a straight sets win for Jenkins/Bartoli, 21-8, 21-17 over Smith/Coleman

1:19pm - Cracker of a match between McKienzie/Statterfield and Reka/Hromadko, with the former winning 24-22, 22-20. Elsewhere Cole Durant and Zachery Schubert beat Marten Christiansson/Bart Gaik 21-17, 21-13, while in the women, Phoebe Bell and Nikki Laird b Levy/Azarian-Ekaba Okoko 21-10, 21-8, and Maher/Kendall b Friedrich/Moegle 21-16, 21-18. And there has been a win for the international team of Richter/Penkina, 21-13, 21-8 over Italy's Marchesini/Giovannetti.

1158am - Nice return to competitive action for Isaac Kapa, teaming up with Tim Dickson to beat Gibbons/Collits 21-19, 21-13. In other games, Bolsterlee/Crook have beaten Abela/Holmes 21-11, 21-10, Austria's Skrabel and Friedl beat Gregory/Kuklych 13-21, 21-13, 15-10. And in the women's draw Vorlova/Michalovicova have beaten Tung/Schober 21-5, 21-8

11am - Strong win for Lou Grice and Mariafe Artacho del Solar, 21-9, 21-8 over Sange Carter and Sabine Mills. In other results, Battaglene/Weiler have beaten Smetead/Kosova 21-18, 21-16, and in the men's Japan's Hasegawa and Kurasaka b Schulz/Helman 21-11, 21-16. And Poland/Zemljak have beaten Tang/Justin Schumann 21-17, 21-14.

1013am - Comfortable first up win for Palmer and Ngauamo, 21-8, 21-8 over Zivcic/Reichmuth. And an interesting result from one of the outside courts, where Gareth Mann and David Stubbersfield have fought back to win an absolute cliff hanger against Marcus Ferguson and Mitch Wakefield 2-1 (15-21, 22-20, 22-20)

9:35am - On an outside court, Blake/Reeves have beaten Riginelli/Gruenaug 2-1 (21-15, 17-21, 15-12)

9:32am - Epic opening match on centre court! The Mowen sisters, Jordan and Justine, held big leads in both opening sets before letting Sabine Link and Rebecca Ingram in - but eventually held their nerve to win 2-1 (19-21, 21-18, 15-13)

906am: First result of the day - the Rohkamper sisters 2-0 winners over Fallat/Linares
