Tickets now on sale for the Brisbane leg of the Volleyball Nations League (VNL) from 28 to 30 June: Australia to face the reigning champions Russia at the Queensland State Netball Centre
The Volleyball Nations League, one of the most prestigious tournaments to be staged in Australia for many years, takes on added significance ahead of the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games.
The five-week tournament will feature the top 16 teams in men’s international volleyball playing in a round robin tournament with Brisbane hosting the 5th round from 28 to 30 June.
In Brisbane, the Volleyroos will come up against the reigning champions Russia, as well as Argentina and China.
With the Olympic qualifiers starting in August, Volleyroos coach, Mark Lebedew, says the VNL is crucial, “It’s a great opportunity to play against the top teams and players in the world. It’s also a great chance to continue working on the progress we have made as a group over the past two years especially 2018.”
The Volleyroos will start their VNL campaign in Poland on 31 May.
